Colorado did it, now is the time for us all to support industrial Hemp
Rocky Mountain Hemp, Inc and its founding members have advocated for the legalization of industrial hemp for many years. We were extensively involved in lobbying efforts that culminated with the passage of Colorado Senate Bill (SB) 13-241, co-sponsored by Senator Gail Schwartz and Representative Don Coram.
Colorado SB 13-241. This monumental legislation gave permission to those within the State of Colorado to grow, process and market industrial hemp and its products. Other state and federal lawmakers are watching closely and we encourage you to get involved and make your positive opinion of the hemp industry known to your elected officials.
U.S. Representative and Kentucky farm owner, Thomas Massie states “Industrial hemp is a sustainable crop and could be a great economic opportunity for Kentucky farmers. ...Industrial hemp will give small farmers another opportunity to succeed”. He is currently the sponsor of H.R. 525, known as the “Industrial Hemp Farming Act of 2013”. The purpose of H.R. 525 is to amend the Controlled Substances Act to exclude industrial hemp from the definition of marijuana, and for other purposes.
